Originally the business was run from the home of Carroll and later moved to downtown Manito. Mr Farnam served the town of Manito and the surrounding area for 19 years. Carroll built a loyal customer base through his hard work and good customer service. In 1969 Carroll passed away and his son, Kenneth Farnam, took over the business.   Ken has been following in this father's footsteps for over 30 years in the insurance business. Those thirty plus years of service to the community have seen many changes. Real Estate sales services were added in the 1970's and in 1993, Ken became a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser. In 2003, Ken furthered his education in appraisal work and became a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser.   Growth has also occurred over those thirty-five years since Ken has taken over the family business. 2000 saw the expansion of the company into the community of Havana. Don Blessman's agency was purchased and became the Blessman-Farnam Agency. The business was moved from the old location near the courthouse to the newly remodeled location at 326 E Randolph St across from the Oney's building.   The years that have followed the expansion of the company from Carroll's original one man operation has also seen the tradition of a family business carried on. In 2002, Ken's son, Andrew, returned to Manito with his family and began to work in the Manito office. Andrew hopes to some day carry on the tradition of hard work, honesty, and good customer service that the customers have enjoyed and deserved since Carroll started the business.
